BACHELOR OF COMMERCE (Banking & Insurance)

The course prepares students to explore opportunities in the field of Banking & Insurance and provides adequate understanding about the Banking, Insurance & other financial services to the students. The basic objective is to inculcate training & practical approach among the students by using modern technologies in the field of Banking, Insurance etc.

SICS intake: 60 Seats

Basic Qualification: In order to secure admission to first year of three-year BCom(B&I) course, the candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Degree course in Banking & Insurance shall have passed XII Standard Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or any examination recognized as equivalent thereto at one and the same sitting and should have scored not less than 45% marks in case of students belonging to Open Category and not less than 40% marks in the case of students belonging to the Reserved Category

Every candidate admitted to the Degree Course in the Constituent / affiliated college / recognized institution conducting the course shall have to register himself / herself with the University.
 
Duration of Course

Six (6) Semesters spread over (3) years.The Course shall consist of 38 Theory papers and 2 Project work.

Refund Rules

Rule for Cancellation & Refund of Fees:

Rules regarding refund of fees in case of cancellation of admission are applicable as per University norms (University Circular No. UG/412 of 2008 dated 11th Sept 2008).

 

The percentage of fee for the course shall be refunded to the candidate after deducting charges as follows:

Refund of Tuition, Development and all other fees after cancellation of admissions:

The candidates who have taken admission in under graduate courses in Government Colleges, in Government aided Colleges and Unaided Courses conducted by affiliated colleges and recognised institutions may request for refund of fees after applying in writing for cancellation of their admission to the course. The refund of fees as applicable shall be made on or before the 30th day after the date of cancellation and thereafter.

 

Note : The total amount considered for the refund of fees from the commencement of term of the courses include the following

·        All the fee items chargeable for one year are as per relevant University circulars for different faculties (excluding the courses for which the total amount is fixed by other competent authorities)

·        The fees charged towards group insurance and all fee components to be paid as University share (including Vice Chancellor fund, University fee for sports and cultural activities, E-charge, disaster management fund, examination fee and Enrolment fee) are non-refundable if payment is made by the college prior to the date of cancellation.

·        Fee collected for Identity Card and Library Card, Admission form and prospectus, enrolment and any other course specific fees are NOT REFUNDABLE after the commencement of the academic term.

·        All refundable deposits, if any, (Laboratory, Caution Money and Library etc.) shall be refunded at the time of cancellation.

·        Provided that wherever admissions are made through centralised admission process for professional and/or for any other courses by other competent authorities (as per the rules of relevant agencies) for the Ist year admissions. In case of admission to subsequent years of the course, 0.2859 is applicable for cancellation of admission.

·        Provided further that this refund rule is concurrent with the rules and guidelines of other professional statutory bodies appointed for admission for relevant courses. 

 

PROCEDURE FOR REFUND

 

·        Students are required to fill in the cancellation form and submit to the college alongwith the original copy of the fee receipts. Also, they have to surrender the Identity Card and Library Card.

·        Refund of fees will be through cheque drawn in favour of the student.
